A seguito dell'appello di Peppe Cirino inerente il soldato di Filicudi decorato al valor militare abbiamo ricevuto questa mail dall'amico John R. Bonica da Houston. Speriamo possa essere utile
There was a man baptized on Filicudi on 5 August 1895 named “Felice Della Chiesa.” His record is at Liber Bap Filicudi 1895:74. His mother was said to be Angela Rando daughter of Antonino.
I don’t know for certain who Angela Rando the mother of Felice was; however, Antonino Rando (born abt 1835) and Angela DiFina (born abt 1943) had two daughters who never married. One was born on September 10, 1870. The other was born on 18 March 1874. My guess is that the 1870 Angela died young and that that the Angela born on 18 March 1874 was the mother of the war hero Felice Della Chiesa. There was also an Angela Rando born on 9 Sept 1883 to Antonino Rando and Rosaria Cappadona but I believe she would have been too young to be the mother of Felice Della Chiesa (and she was married). There were no other Angela Randos in the right time frame who were daughters of an Antonino other than these Angelas.

Antonino Rando (nato circa 1835) e Angela DiFina (nato circa 1943) ha avuto due figlie che non si sposò mai. La prima Angela è nata il 10 settembre 1870. L'altra è nata il 18 marzo 1874. La mia ipotesi sono che la prima Angela era morta giovane e la seconda Angela era la madre di eroe di guerra Felice Della Chiesa. C'era anche un Angela Rando nato il 9 settembre 1883 da Antonino Rando e Rosaria Cappadona, ma credo che sarebbe stata troppo giovane per essere la madre di Felice Della Chiesa (e lei era sposata).
